Our history

Samson Primary School’s history

Samson Primary School opened in 1986 with the official opening taking place on 8 May 1987. The Honourable Barry Hodge Minister for Conservation and Land Management precided over the official opening. The school itself was named after Sir William Fredrick Samson as was the suburb SAMSON.

Samson is located south of the Swan River at the eastern end of the Fremantle area. The school has a vibrant community surrounded by beautifully maintained grounds that feature grass trees, extensive rose gardens, eucalypts and grassed playing areas.

The teaching and learning program is maintained by an experienced, dedicated and extremely capable staff who look for new and innovative ways to engage students. Our NAPLAN results compare favourably with like schools.
