Week 3 has been a busy week again for us. It has been nice to see some sunshine this week after some very cold and damp days at the start of the term. We are looking at the possibility of lots of rain next week so wet weather recess and lunch breaks are possible. We will have to wait and see what the weather does.
Sick Children
It is very important that students attend school, however if they are sick please keep them snug and warm at home. We are finding that some children are coming to school unwell and unfortunately this means that germs are spread more widely and students take longer to recover. Please keep children home if they are not well in the morning.
LOST PROPERTY
We have had a very cold week heading into a wet week, please write your child’s name on all of their clothing, including jumpers. There are many clothing items including jumpers in our lost property box. Also, could you please check that your child is wearing his/her own hat? Don’t forget there are drink bottles, lunch boxes, thongs, shoes etc in the lost property. Parents are welcome to come into the school to check the lost property box if your child has lost anything at the end or start of the day, please just let the front office staff know and do so when the students are in class or left the school grounds.
THE LOST PROPERTY ITEMS ARE IN THE WOODEN STAND OUTSIDE OF THE LIBRARY IF YOU ARE MISSING ANY CLOTHING etc.

Letters and payment envelopes for In-term Swimming have been sent home for all students in Pre Primary to Year 4. Payments are due by 4 September. If you need to organise a Payment Plan, please contact me in the office.
Thank you to those families who have responded to the Unpaid Billing Items reminders which were sent home two weeks ago. Unfortunately, there is still over $500 outstanding for the iMaths Trackers and Sound Waves workbooks. Please check if your child received a reminder and contact me to organise payment as soon as you can. This charge was not included as a levy with Campion.

BOOK WEEK 2020
Our Book Week dress up day is on Friday 28th August
All students from Pre-primary to Year 6 come along dressed as a book character from a children’s book. They bring along the book. We have a book week parade so that students can see each other. Parents are welcome to attend and dress up. This event may also be celebrated in the class through literacy activities. The parade begins at 9 am in the covered assembly area or on the basket-ball court (weather permitting). Kindy Emu and Kangaroo students dress up on Thursday, 27th August or Friday, 28th August depending on which group they attend.
The Book Week theme for 2020 is CURIOUS CREATURES, WILD MINDS !
